I am sad at the news of another death. But maybe just maybe this one isn’t addiction. Or is it? You see addiction to the world is portrayed in such a way that demonizes drugs and alcohol to the ones who can’t control it and glorifies it for the ones who can and then in the middle of that linger ever so quietly the other addictions, food, sex, smoking, gambling etc etc. What about laziness or procrastination, self harm, and comfort. It takes alot of work and self discipline to break free of those habits that aren’t front page or completely life destroying. Its one thing entirely to free yourself from the burden and death grip of substances addiction but once you do that. THEN WHAT??

So many are still in the grips of other addictions, perhaps knowingly perhaps not.

But here is the truth. If you do not take action to increase the quality of your life by actively living a healthier life by ridding toxicity from your life. Food, liquids, cigarettes even music, TV and toxic people you are slowly committing suicide because its killing you. There is so much toxicity and poison in the foods and liquids we consume on a daily basis add in the laziness and lack of exercise and quality of life people engage in and its all part of the addiction cycle..

Sadly I have known many who HAVE recovered from their substances addiction only to continue living a toxic life and as a result lost their lives due to health issues and other diseases or heart attacks… and it doesn’t have to happen.

I saw a post the other day that said

I DIDN’T GET SOBER TO ADD DAYS TO MY LIFE, I GOT SOBER TO ADD LIFE TO MY DAYS.

Please. Take a look at what your doing in your day to day life that is still causing you harm and perhaps killing you, even though you can’t visually see it on the outside or maybe you can? There is Also a solution for that just as much as there was for your drugs or alcohol problem..

You will never REGRET loving yourself enough by working hard to get yourself healthy so you can REALLY enjoy the life you have worked so hard to get sober for. I promise…

God bless. Prayers to anyone struggling if you need help please reach out..
